DailyHubware takes part in affiliate programmes. When a guide links to a product and you buy it, we may receive a commission from the retailer. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be without our link.

Rules we hold ourselves to

• The free fix comes first. A guide never recommends buying something before the no-cost troubleshooting has been exhausted.
• Commission rate never determines a recommendation. If the cheaper option is the right one, that is what the guide says.
• We say when a purchase is not worth it, including when replacing a device is the honest answer instead of buying an accessory.
• Every guide containing affiliate links states so on the page itself.
